2008 Hen Feathers Clubs
The goals of the different clubs at Hen Feathers are all the same:
- to relax and have fun
- to learn new skills in a demonstration type class and
- to get to know and be encouraged by other quilters.
All clubs have room for quilters of all skill levels. The club fee is $24 for the year. There may be a book or pattern purchase necessary if you choose to do the project. Club members will receive a 10% discount on purchases made on club day.
Cool Chicks Club:
10:30am, 1:30pm or 6:00 pm 2nd Thursday.
Throughout the year Cool Chicks will have 3 projects to select from . You can do all 3 or just 1. We will start with a Kansas City Star Sampler block each month then add a mystery quilt and some strip quilts.
Santa’s Workshop:
6:00 pm, 3rd Thursday.
HO! HO! HO! Get a jump on homemade gifts for next year by joining Santa’s Workshop! Each month will include a demonstration of a gift item you can make along with a cookie recipe. You can count on a few decorating ideas to be thrown in throughout the year! Everyone will be so impressed with your creative gifts next Christmas!
Wild Women’s Club:
6:00pm, 4th Thursday.
As the name indicates this fun group of gals is a little unruly! Each month a new technique or project will be demonstrated. All the projects will be fun.
Saturday Sampler
3rd Saturday
Once again we will be offering the $5 Saturday Sampler. The game plan is simple-you pay $5 for the kit for the first block and attend a demonstration class on how to construct the block. Beginners*: 3rd Saturday of each month for 9 months; 10:10 am.
Advanced Beginners: 3rd Saturday of each month for 9 months; 1:10 pm.
*Beginners will have easier blocks and go at a slower pace. Advanced beginners blocks will be a little harder and go at a slightly faster pace. Come in to sign up now and select the color group for your quilt.
