Class Schedule July - August 2008

To sign up for a class call 652-9599 or come in to Hen Feathers to pay the class fee.  Space is limited so don’t wait too long!

Class Registration :

• Pre-registration and payment are required for all classes. By signing up for classes, you are agreeing to abide by store policy.
• We work hard to keep class sizes small so each student gets plenty of help. We also work to keep classes and their supplies affordable for everyone. In return we must have your payment to reserve your spot.
• Any cancellation must be at least 7 days prior to class in order to receive a refund in the form of shop credit. After that, no refund is available.
• Supply list will be given at time of registration.
• Please do not bring guests or children to class.
• Class size is limited to 10 - unless you have instructor permission.
• Please arrive in time to set up and be prepared for instruction at the listed start time.
• All classes require knowledge of sewing machines and rotary cutting skills unless otherwise specified.

The Professional Bag
Class Fee: $35 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Mondays, Sept 8, 15, & 22	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
This bag has won rave reviews at Hen Feathers. It has a spot for everything, even a laptop, and is attractive.

Beginner Quilting
Class Fee: $45 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Tuesdays Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30, and Oct. 7	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
We will teach you everything from rotary cutting to binding while you create a 9 patch quilt. We assume you know nothing about quilting when we start the class!

Advanced Quilting
Class Fee: $40 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Tuesdays Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30, and Oct. 7	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
This is a great class to brush up on your skills or advance your techniques. Make one quilt with a variety of blocks or a variety of quilts with one block type each. From log cabins to stars this is a great way to learn more.

Jacket-Take 5 Goes Undercover
Class Fee: $35 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Wednesdays, Oct. 8, 15, & 22	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
Such a simple way to make a sweatshirt look fancy.  These would make great gifts.   We will show you several options or the cheater way to make one with no piecing.

Fusible Applique
Class Fee: $25 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Tuesdays, Oct.14 & 21	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
We will have a choice of designs to appliqué onto a towel so that you can learn the fun of fusible appliqué.

Disappearing 9 Patch aka Piecing for Idiots
Class Fee: $12 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Tuesday Nov. 11	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
This design is so much fun! You can use charm packs or fat quarters to make a variety of quilts. It is a really versatile design.

Peanut Butter & Jelly
Class Fee: $12 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Tuesday Nov. 18	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
Take one jelly roll, add some 5” squares and this quilt goes together like peanut butter and jelly. It is fun, simple and pretty.

Round About The World
Class Fee: $35 plus pattern and supplies
Date: Mondays Nov. 3, 10, & 17	Time: 6 - 8 PM	Difficulty:
This quilt is stunning but fun to make. We will help you select your fabric. It is strip pieced and easier than it looks.

Charity Quilt

1st Tuesday of each month 10-3 

Come volunteer and have fun at the same time. 

Each month we will work on quilts for different projects that have requested them from Quilts of Valor to Linus to Home of the Brave- the list of those in need of comfort goes on and on.

Calling All Aliens!!

Come work on your U.F.O.s (UnFinished Objects)! 

The second Friday of each month from 10am-3pm. is set aside for all extra terrestrials to complete their quilting projects. 

Help will be provided.  Please call and sign up ahead of time. Fee $10.00.
