First Friday Frenzy:
The first Friday of each month and the following Saturday is a frenzy at Hen Feathers. But this July, the sale is July 1, 2 & 3! (Closed July 4th).

Here Is What’s Happening At Hen Feathers
Thangles Buck-a-Block:
Buck-a-block was so popular in 2008 that we are doing it again in 2009, only better! Your 12 blocks will be free with the purchase of your finishing kit for $78.75 at sign up. For those unfamiliar with buck a block it is a program that consists of 12 blocks made from 2 strips of fabric and thangles (paper strips that simplify making half square triangles) that you either purchase each month for $1 or receive free with purchase of finishing kit at sign up. When you combine the 12 blocks with the finishing kit & setting pattern you end up with a beautiful quilt that measures 72 x 92”. There are several colors to choose from but supplies of each color way are limited so sign up now. Thangles are purchased separately.
Birthday Discount:
This year Hen Feathers will help you celebrate your birthday by offering a one time 20% discount off bolt fabric, books, patterns, & notions during the month of your birthday. You will be asked to verify your birthday month but we really don’t care about the year! So you pick the day to come in and save.
UFO Friday:
Join us the 2nd Friday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to sew on unfinished objects.
Staff will be available for help if needed. Fee is $10. Please sign up ahead of time as space is limited.
Frequent Fabric Card:
Don’t forget to ask for your frequent fabric card at check-out. We stamp the amount of yardage purchased at regular price (including fat quarters). If you fill your card before the expiration date, you can redeem it for a free yard. (Details are listed on card). Wednesdays are double stamp day.
Scissors or Blades need Sharpening?
Drop your scissors or blades off at Hen Feathers at your convenience and Larry’s Sharpening service will pick them up and return to us for you to pick up. Payment in form of cash or check must be left at time of drop off. Sharp blades and scissors are safer than dull blades!
Charity Quilt Day:
Join us the first Tuesday of each month from 10-3 to work on quilts for charities. Throughout the year we make quilts for Quilts of Valor, Project Linus, Home of the Brave, and other worthy projects. We would love to have you join us. Please sign up ahead of time as space is limited. If you would rather work on your own, we also act as a collection point for Quilts of Valor and Project Linus.
